Introduction to domestic violence and abuse (awareness session)This 3 hour session is aimed at workers/volunteers who are not in support roles but may come into contact with people living with domestic abuse or recovering from domestic abuse.This might include: reception workers, people in administrative roles, workers and volunteers with roles requiring public contact but not intensive support.

During the session, specific reference is made to different types of domestic abuse, so we recommend attending in a quiet and confidential space. Support is available if you are impacted by any content if the session.
About our trainers
Our trainers here at Equation, have an extensive background in supporting survivors of domestic abuse in a range of specialist provisions, as well as supporting children.

Cancellation
PLEASE NOTE: : This training is being held Face to Face. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you cannot attend the training.
If you are unable to attend due to sickness on the day please inform us by email. We are also able to accept an alternative delegate in your place – their name will need to be provided before the start of the session by email to training@equation.org.uk.
Failure to attend without notice will be classed as no show. Your manager will be notified of your absence.
Cost
Please be aware: due to the conditions of our funding, this training is free to people working in Nottinghamshire County – chargeable outside of these areas.
We are monitoring the attendance list and you will be asked to pay if you do not qualify for a free ticket.
