Learning outcomes

This session enables delegates to consider the journey of a person living with and surviving domestic abuse. It provides an opportunity to reflect on working practice and organisational response to survivors and identify ways to respond to challenges.

The session also explores how survivors might respond to abuse and the impact it may have on their interaction with the people around them including organisations and workers.

Please be aware this session includes images and audio/ video content of the experiences of survivors.

This session is a compliment to the URDVA and delegates should also, where possible, attend the full days URDVA training to explore referral processes and good practice for responding to survivors.

Prerequisites:

None. Please note we advise all professionals attend our flagship course, Understanding and responding to Domestic Violence and Abuse.
