A new stand-alone criminal offence of non-fatal strangulation is coming into force. This seminar looks at non-fatal strangulation as part of patterns of abuse, the medical and psychological impacts it has, and issues around how it can be prosecuted.

Nogah Ofer is a solicitor with The Centre for Women’s Justice which is a legal charity working on accountability of state bodies in relation to violence against women and girls.
