Duration: Three hours

This session will contribute to an understanding of trauma and cumulative stress with specific exploration about the relationship between helping traumatised people and the impact on the helper. Within the session we will also consider the impacts of organisational trauma and resulting impacts on the workforces. Alongside understanding terms such as vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burnout we will consider ways to recognise early warning signs and develop an understanding of what might help to recover”.

This session has a maximum of two places per organisation or department of large organisations.

Prerequisites

None. Please note we encourage all professionals to attend our session, Understanding and Responding to Domestic Violence and Abuse (URDVA).
