Introduction to Working with Young Men Experiencing Domestic Abuse

These sessions are suitable for anyone who might have contact with young men experiencing domestic abuse in their own relationships.

 

 

After this session, you will be able to

  • Understand the different aspects of young men’s experiences of domestic violence and abuse
  • Recognize the barriers that young men may have in seeking support
  • Identify the correct referral pathways and processes to get help to survivors
  • Respond to young men experiencing abuse using the best practice

 

 

Prerequisites

None. Though we do advise that all professionals attend our flagship course: Understanding and Responding to Domestic Violence and Abuse.

We ask you to bear in mind that this training does include reference to types of abuse. If you are watching or taking part in this training in a shared space, if possible, please do so where you cannot be overheard for the duration of the training.

It’s possible that any training about domestic abuse has the potential to impact on each of us personally, so please be aware that this may be the case before accessing the training.
