Who should attend?

This essential training is designed for anyone working or volunteering with adults with care and support needs, including:

  • People with learning difficulties
  • Older people
  • People with physical disabilities

What you’ll learn

  • Gain a deeper understanding and awareness of adults with care and support needs experiencing domestic abuse, especially within intimate partner relationships.
  • Learn strategies to improve your response to adults in these situations, ensuring better support and outcomes.
  • Discover a range of support options and resources to effectively assist adults with care and support needs who are experiencing domestic abuse.

Please note that this training includes discussions on various types of domestic abuse. If you are participating in a shared building, try to find a private space to ensure confidentiality and minimise interruptions. Be mindful that the content may resonate personally, and consider this before attending the session.

Please be aware: due to the conditions of our funding, this training is free to people working in Nottingham City and County – chargeable outside of these areas.
