Children & Young People Targeted Project Support Worker
Location: Hybrid working between home, our Nottingham office and schools across Nottinghamshire
Salary: £25,766pa FTE, £15,668.51 actual salary for part time hours
Hours: Fixed term until 31 December 2025, part-time 22.5 hours per week
About the role
We’re looking for energetic, passionate and motivated people with previous experience of working in schools or with children and young people.
Equation requires an enthusiastic, dynamic and proactive person for the role of the Targeted Project Support Worker, to join our Children and Young People (CYP) team.
In this role you will:
- Deliver and support Equation’s healthy relationships and domestic abuse awareness programmes and projects with children and young people.
- Deliver Targeted projects, including ‘Know More’ and ‘Choices’ in Secondary schools, alternative provisions, and other educational settings
- Deliver universal prevention projects such as the GREAT (Primary) and Equate (Secondary) projects.
- Support with establishing and developing relationships with stakeholders and a team of Targeted freelance facilitators
- Deliver ‘twilight’ training or briefings to educational professionals
- Prepare and develop sessions and projects, including a new project designed for young men around sexual behaviours, consent and boundaries.
What we’re looking for
This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about domestic abuse prevention and has proven experience of working with children and young people in mainstream and or/alternative settings, including within youth justice system.
Our ideal candidate will understand the education system and children & young people, including those at risk so knowledge of safeguarding processes and how to act on concerns is essential. Experience of presenting and engaging with groups of children and young people is also a requirement.
As our work is delivered to schools across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire the successful candidate must be willing to travel around the city and county.
