Equation needs enthusiastic people to work as part of our Children and Young People team. These are fantastic roles for anyone who is passionate about domestic abuse prevention and early intervention with young people.  

The successful candidates will be joining the charity during an exciting period of growth and will be able to play a role in shaping the future direction of healthy relationships prevention and education. 

Children and Young People: Project Support Worker 

Working within the Children and Young People (CYP) team of highly skilled and passionate staff, you’ll bring experience of understanding young people and working in classroom settings in Primary & Secondary Schools.  

As a Children and Young People Project Support Worker, you will lead on the delivery of the Equations domestic abuse prevention and healthy relationships programmes, GREAT and Equate, in various educational settings, as well as Teacher Training Twilight sessions.  Role Details 

Working hours:  

  • 22.5 hrs per week  
  • 3 days per week, (ideally Monday and Friday plus another day of your choice) 
  • Working hours to fit in with schools’ delivery, can be 8am-4pm (sometimes earlier due to location of school), otherwise flexible if no delivery. 

Working terms:  

  • Flexible working arrangements: School, home and office-based working 
  • Fixed term (until end of March 2025) 
  • Term time only contract  

Salary:  

  • £23,896.08 pro rata  
  • Actual salary for 22.5 hours per week, Term Time Only: £12,798.81
