The GREAT Project
Healthy relationships don’t happen by chance — they’re learned. Children and young people who understand what respect, equality, and consent look like are better equipped to recognise harm, seek help, and build safe relationships throughout their lives. Early education is one of the most effective tools we have.
The GREAT Project is making a difference
GREAT sessions
Session one (Healthy Relationships) – Promotes the importance of children developing healthy, positive relationships
Session two (Domestic Abuse) – Explores what domestic abuse is, how children can access support, and what support services are available
Session three (Excuses and Choices) – Considers the reasons behind domestic abuse, with a focus on dispelling commonly used excuses/myths
Session four (Respecting Each Other) – Looks at gender inequalities and promoting gender respect

Costs vary depending on funding and location, and we review this each academic year. Get in touch and we’ll let you know what’s available for your school.
Will our staff need training too?
Our Teacher Training sessions (Twilights) are optional and separate from GREAT, giving staff extra confidence to support these conversations.
Do parents or carers need to be informed, or give consent?
We work with your school to make sure parents and carers are informed in line with your usual policies. We’re happy to talk this through when you get in touch.
Does our school need to prepare anything in advance?
We’ll let you know everything you need to arrange ahead of time when you book, so you can prepare with confidence.
Is our school in a funded area?
Get in touch and we’ll confirm whether your school currently falls within a funded area.
Are sessions suitable for pupils with additional needs?
Yes – sessions are designed for a range of abilities and learning styles, and can be adapted to suit pupils with additional needs.
What happens if a pupil discloses something during a session?
Our specialists are trained to respond sensitively and follow safeguarding procedures at all times, working alongside your school’s designated safeguarding lead.
