What happens after you submit

What happens once we receive your enquiry

Our team reviews every enquiry. Depending on your request, we may offer a written comment, arrange an interview with a spokesperson, or point you towards relevant data and reports. If we can’t help directly, we’ll try to signpost you to someone who can.

Quick answers before contacting us

Press and media FAQs

Before you get in touch, these answers cover most of what journalists and media professionals ask us. From response times to spokespeople, statistics and survivor safety, we’ve tried to set clear, realistic expectations. If your question isn’t covered here, please use the enquiry form and our team will help directly.

How quickly do you respond?

We aim to respond as soon as possible. If you have an urgent deadline, let us know in the form, and we’ll do our best to prioritise it.

Can I use your statistics?

We can sometimes share published figures and evidence from our own work, including our schools programme and evaluation reports. We can’t verify or comment on statistics from other sources.

Will you comment on cases?

As a rule, we don’t comment on individual cases, particularly where legal proceedings are ongoing. We can offer wider context on domestic abuse and our services instead.

What if my deadline’s tight?

Say so clearly in the form or call us. We can’t always guarantee same-day turnaround, but we’ll let you know as soon as possible if we’re able to help.

Can you provide a spokesperson?

Where possible, yes. Depending on the topic and availability, we can offer a phone, video or in-person interview with a member of our team.

Can I contact a survivor?

We don’t arrange direct contact with survivors, to protect their safety and privacy. In some cases we may be able to share an anonymised case study, with consent.

Are photos or logos available?

Yes. Let us know what you need in the form and we’ll send over approved images and our logo pack.

Who can I contact out-of-hours?

For general press enquiries, please use the form or email, and we’ll respond as soon as possible. For urgent, time-sensitive stories, note this clearly, and we’ll try to accommodate where we can.
