Helping friends recognise the signs
Good friends notice when something isn’t right – but knowing how to help isn’t always easy. Our Help a Friend campaign, running each March, gives people the confidence to spot the signs of abuse and support someone who needs it. Your support helps us run this campaign more often, reach more people, and keep the content current.

Yes. You can volunteer your time, fundraise instead of donating cash, or help us spread the word on social media.
Can my workplace get involved?
Yes. We work with businesses on corporate partnerships, from team fundraising to skilled volunteering.
I want to fundraise but I’ve never done it before – can you help?
Yes. Our team will support you with ideas, a fundraising pack and guidance from start to finish.
Is there a minimum amount I need to raise if I take on a challenge event?
This depends on the event – some have a suggested minimum, others don’t. Our fundraising team can talk you through what’s involved.
How do I know my donation is safe and going to a genuine charity?
Equation is a registered charity (No. 1140240). You can donate directly through our website or trusted platforms like JustGiving.
